1.4    "(1) $400,000 each year is to be targeted toward prairie conservation and restoration
1.5on natural and seminatural lands in the Prairie Parkland, Tallgrass Aspen Parklands, and
1.6Eastern Broadleaf Forest Provinces, as defined by the Department of Natural Resources
1.7ecological mapping and landscape classification system, for:
1.8    (i) beginning county cooperative weed management programs on natural lands and
1.9lands enrolled under the federal conservation reserve program;
1.10    (ii) assisting counties and other local units of government to develop invasive plant
1.11species management systems; and
1.12    (iii) restoring native plants in selected invasive species management sites by
1.13providing local native seeds and plants to landowners for implementation; and
1.14    (2) $250,000 each year is available on a statewide basis for use on natural and
1.15seminatural lands to support:
1.16    (i) local units of government by providing equipment and services in assisting the
1.17public to participate in invasive species management;
1.18    (ii) local units of government for emergency situations to control new occurrences of
1.19high priority invasive species infestations;
1.20    (iii) local education efforts on the identification, control, and prevention of invasive
1.21species; and
1.22    (iv) the creation of local neighborhood groups to eradicate and control invasive
1.23species."
