1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. [609.593] TAMPERING WITH GAS AND ELECTRICAL LINES.
1.4    Whoever intentionally and without claim of right, takes, removes, breaks, or severs,
1.5a line or any part connected to a line that is used for supplying or transporting gas or
1.6electricity without the consent of one authorized to give consent and in a manner that
1.7creates a substantial risk of death or bodily harm or serious property damage is guilty of a
1.8felony and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 20 years or to payment of
1.9a fine of not more than $100,000, or both.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective August 1, 2007, and applies to crimes
1.11committed on or after that date."
1.12Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.13Amend the title accordingly
