1.1    .................... moves to amend H. F. No. 586 as follows:
1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 256B.434, is amended by adding a
1.4subdivision to read:
1.5    Subd. 4i. Rate increase for facilities in Rice County. Effective July 1, 2007,
1.6operating payment rates of nursing facilities in Rice County located within two miles of
1.7Scott County or Dakota County that are reimbursed under this section or 256B.441 must
1.8be increased to be equal, for a RUG's rate with a weight of 1.00, to the geographic group
1.9III median rate for the same RUG's weight. The percentage of the operating payment rate
1.10for each facility to be case-mix adjusted must be equal to the percentage that is case-mix
1.11adjusted in that facility's June 30, 2006, operating payment rate. This subdivision applies
1.12only if it results in a rate increase."
1.13Delete the title and insert:
1.15relating to human services; increasing payment rates for certain nursing facilities
1.16in Rice County;amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 256B.434, by
1.17adding a subdivision."
