1.4"Short-term Offender Study; Report.
1.5The commissioner of corrections shall
1.6study the use and effectiveness of the
1.7short-term offender program and identify
1.8gaps in the current system relating to
1.9programming and reentry services for
1.10short-term offenders. On or before January
1.1115, 2008, the commissioner shall submit a
1.12report detailing the commissioner's findings
1.13and recommendations to the house and
1.14senate committees with jurisdiction over
1.15public safety policy and funding."
