1.3Page 14, after line 9, insert:

1.4    "Sec. 35. Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 97C.335, is amended to read:
1.597C.335 USE OF ARTIFICIAL LIGHTS TO TAKE FISH PROHIBITED.
1.6    A person may not use artificial lights to lure or attract fish or to see fish in the water
1.7while spearing, except that while angling or spearing, a person may affix to the end of
1.8a fishing line:
1.9    (a) a lighted artificial bait with hooks attached to the end of a fishing line; or
1.10    (b) they may use a lighted decoy for spearing.
1.11    Any battery that is used in lighted fishing lures cannot contain any intentionally
1.12introduced mercury."
1.13Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.14Amend the title accordingly
