1.3    "Subd. 4. Land exchange requirement. Within 24 months of the acquisition
1.4of land for the state park established in subdivision 1, the commissioner of natural
1.5resources, with the approval of the Land Exchange Board as required under the Minnesota
1.6Constitution, article XI, section 10, and according to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes,
1.7sections 94.343 to 94.347, shall exchange all land acquired within the boundaries of the
1.8established state park for school trust lands, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section
1.992.025, that are located within St. Louis County and are of equal shoreline footage and
1.10not located within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. After the exchange, state-owned
1.11lands within the boundaries of the state park established in subdivision 1 shall be school
1.12trust lands and subject to the same trust as the lands given in exchange for the lands within
1.13the boundaries of the state park.
1.14    Subd. 5. Deposit of fees. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 85.052,
1.15subdivision 4, paragraph (a), and 85.055, subdivision 2, all fees collected for state permits,
1.16services, and special state park uses at the state park established in subdivision 1 shall
1.17be deposited in the school trust fund, established in the Minnesota Constitution, article
1.18XI, section 8.
1.19    Subd. 6. Conveyance of land to St. Louis County. Notwithstanding Minnesota
1.20Statutes, sections 94.09 and 94.10, and any other law to the contrary, all land given in
1.21exchange for lands within the boundaries of the state park established in subdivision 1
1.22shall be conveyed to St. Louis County for no consideration."
