1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. [120B.236] CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
1.4INSTRUCTION.
1.5School districts are encouraged to include cardiopulmonary resuscitation and
1.6automatic external defibrillator instruction as part of their curriculum. Schools offering
1.7cardiopulmonary resuscitation or automatic external defibrillator instruction must use
1.8cardiopulmonary resuscitation or automatic external defibrillator training that has been
1.9developed:
1.10(1) by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross and incorporate
1.11psychomotor skills to support the instruction; or
1.12(2) using nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines for cardiopulmonary
1.13resuscitation and incorporates psychomotor skills to support the instruction."
1.14Delete the title and insert:
1.16relating to education; requiring school districts that offer cardiopulmonary
1.17resuscitation or automatic external defibrillator instruction to use instruction
1.18developed by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, or uses
1.19nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines;proposing coding for new law
1.20in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 120B."
