1.3    "Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 148.171, subdivision 6, is amended to read:
1.4    Subd. 6. Collaborative management. "Collaborative management" is a
1.5mutually agreed upon plan between an advanced practice registered nurse and one or
1.6more physicians or surgeons licensed under chapter 147 that designates the scope of
1.7collaboration necessary to manage the care of patients. The advanced practice registered
1.8nurse and the one or more physicians must have experience in providing care to patients
1.9with the same or similar medical problems, except that certified registered nurse
1.10anesthetists may continue to provide anesthesia in collaboration with and physicians,
1.11including surgeons, podiatrists licensed under chapter 153, and dentists licensed under
1.12chapter 150A that designates the scope of collaboration necessary to manage the care of
1.13patients. Certified registered nurse anesthetists must provide anesthesia services at the
1.14same hospital, clinic, or health care setting as the physician, surgeon, podiatrist, or dentist."

1.17a written agreement entered into under this section, the authority to dispense is limited
1.18to only those drugs described in the written agreement."

1.21Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 148.235, subdivisions 1, 2, and 4a, are repealed."
