1.3Page 18, after line 26, insert

1.4    "Section 1. [244.1951] COURT ORDERED PROBATION OR PRETRIAL
1.5RELEASE; SEARCHES AUTHORIZED.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Purpose. The purpose of this section is to assist probation officers
1.7and pretrial release agents in monitoring compliance with the conditions imposed on
1.8persons placed upon court ordered probation or pretrial release.
1.9    Subd. 2. Condition of release. A court may condition the release of a person placed
1.10upon court ordered probation or pretrial release on the person's stipulation to submit to
1.11warrantless searches of his or her person or vehicle or any portion of a premises under the
1.12person's control by, or at the direction of, any probation officer or pretrial release agent
1.13for the purpose of determining compliance with the person's conditions of probation
1.14or pretrial release.
1.15EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2009."
