1.3Page 15, after line 30, insert:

1.4    "Sec. 13. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 282.01, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.5to read:
1.6    Subd. 12. Notice; public hearing for use change. If a governmental subdivision
1.7that acquired a parcel for public use under this section later determines to change the use,
1.8it must hold a public hearing on the proposed use change. The governmental subdivision
1.9must mail written notice of the proposed use change and the public hearing to each owner
1.10of property that is within 400 feet of the parcel at least ten days and no more than 60 days
1.11before it holds the hearing. The notice must identify: (1) the parcel, (2) its current use,
1.12(3) the proposed use, (4) the date, time, and place of the public hearing, and (5) where
1.13to submit written comments on the proposal and that the public is invited to testify at
1.14the public hearing.
1.15EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective July 1, 2010, applies to a change in
1.16use of a parcel acquired under Minnesota Statutes, section 282.01, whether acquired by
1.17the governmental subdivision before or after the effective date of this section."
1.18Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.19Amend the title accordingly
