1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 6.74, is amended to read:
1.46.74 INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.
1.5    Subdivision 1. Information generally. The state auditor, or a designated agent, shall
1.6collect annually from all city, county, and other local units of government, information as
1.7to the assessment of property, collection of taxes, receipts from licenses and other sources,
1.8the expenditure of public funds for all purposes, borrowing, debts, principal and interest
1.9payments on debts, and such other information as may be needful. The data shall be
1.10supplied upon forms prescribed by the state auditor, and all public officials so called upon
1.11shall fill out properly and return promptly all forms so transmitted. The state auditor or
1.12assistants, may examine local records in order to complete or verify the information.
1.13    Subd. 2. Examples of good government in procurement and shared services;
1.14clearinghouse. The state auditor shall establish an online clearinghouse of examples of
1.15good government in procurement and shared services among political subdivisions. The
1.16clearinghouse shall be designed to allow political subdivisions to submit examples of good
1.17government in procurement and shared services in a form prescribed by the state auditor."
1.18Amend the title accordingly
