1.4    "Sec. 6. Laws 2009, chapter 176, article 4, section 9, is amended to read:
1.5    Sec. 9. PRIVATE SALE OF SURPLUS LAND; CLEARWATER COUNTY.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 94.09 and 94.10, the commissioner
1.7of natural resources may sell by private sale the surplus land that is described in paragraph
1.8(c).
1.9(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
1.10attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors and
1.11ensure accuracy. The commissioner may sell the land to the White Earth Band of Ojibwe
1.12for less than the value of the land as determined by the commissioner, but the conveyance
1.13must provide that the land be used for the public and reverts to the state if the band fails to
1.14provide for public use or abandons the public use of the land $26,500. The conveyance
1.15may reserve an easement for ingress and egress.
1.16(c) The land that may be sold is located in Clearwater County and is described as:
1.17the West 400 feet of the South 750 feet of Government Lot 3, Section 31, Township 145
1.18North, Range 38 West, containing 6.89 acres, more or less.
1.19(d) The Department of Natural Resources has determined that the land and building
1.20are no longer needed for natural resource purposes."
1.21Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.22Amend the title accordingly
