1.3Page 160, after line 31, insert:

1.4    "Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 270C.11, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
1.5    Subd. 4. Contents. The report shall detail for each tax expenditure item the
1.6amount of tax revenue forgone, a citation of the statutory or other legal authority for the
1.7expenditure, and the year in which it was enacted or the tax year in which it became
1.8effective. Each chapter of the tax expenditure report must include an estimate of the
1.9number of jobs created in Minnesota as a result of the tax expenditures in that chapter.
1.10The report may contain additional information which the commissioner considers
1.11relevant to the legislature's consideration and review of individual tax expenditure items.
1.12This may include, but is not limited to, statements of the intended purpose of the tax
1.13expenditure, analysis of whether the expenditure is achieving that objective, and the
1.14effect of the expenditure device on the distribution of the tax burden and administration
1.15of the tax system.
1.16EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment."
1.17Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.18Amend the title accordingly
