1.2Page 1, delete lines 5 to 10 and insert:
1.3"(a) For purposes of this section, "total length" means the overall length of the
1.4motor vehicle including (1) bumpers and load, and (2) the length of any semitrailer, as
1.5defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 168.002, subdivision 30, and any trailer, as defined
1.6in Minnesota Statutes, section 168.002, subdivision 35.
1.7(b) The commissioner of transportation shall prohibit the operation of motor vehicles
1.8that exceed a total length of 55 feet on that portion of marked Trunk Highway 36 from the
1.9intersection with marked Trunk Highway 95 and Washington County State-Aid Highway
1.1023 in Stillwater, to the Stillwater Lift Bridge, located on marked Trunk Highway 36 over
1.11the St. Croix River in Stillwater. The commissioner shall erect signs at appropriate
1.12locations giving notice of this prohibition, and shall request that the state of Wisconsin
1.13post similar signs on the Wisconsin side of the bridge."
