Subd. 4.University Share

1.23Except for Higher Education Asset

1.25under subdivision 2, the appropriations in this
2.1section are intended to cover approximately
2.2two-thirds of the cost of each project. The
2.3remaining costs must be paid from university
2.4sources.

Subd. 5.Unspent Appropriations

2.6Upon substantial completion of a project
2.7authorized in this section and after written
2.8notice to the commissioner of management
2.9and budget, the Board of Regents must use
2.10any money remaining in the appropriation
2.11for that project for HEAPR under Minnesota
2.12Statutes, section 135A.046. The Board
2.13of Regents must report by February 1 of
2.14each even-numbered year to the chairs of
2.15the house of representatives and senate
2.16committees with jurisdiction over capital
2.17investment and higher education finance, and
2.18to the chairs of the house of representatives
2.19Ways and Means Committee and the senate
2.20Finance Committee, on how the remaining
2.21money has been allocated or spent."
