1.13annual license fee imposed on a retail seller that is in the business of selling only consumer
1.14fireworks, novelties, and sparkling devices must not exceed $350. The annual license
1.15fee imposed on any other retail seller of consumer fireworks, novelties, and sparkling
1.16devices must not exceed $100.
1.17(b) A local unit of government may enact an ordinance that is more restrictive than
1.18state law and may prohibit or regulate the storage, sale, possession or use of consumer
1.19fireworks, novelties or sparkling devices. An ordinance to regulate the storage, sale,
1.20possession or use must be reasonable and provide for protection of the general health,
1.21safety and welfare of the residents."
