1.3Page 33, after line 20, insert:

1.4    "Sec. 72. [97B.903] USE OF BODY-GRIPPING TRAPS.
1.5A person may not set, place, or operate, except as a waterset, a body-gripping
1.6or "conibear" type trap on public lands and waters that has a maximum jaw opening
1.7when set greater than seven and one-half inches measured from the inside edges of the
1.8body-gripping portions of the jaws, unless:
1.9(1) in a baited or unbaited enclosure with the opening no greater than 81 square
1.10inches and the trap trigger is recessed seven inches or more from the top of the opening;
1.11(2) no bait, lure, or other attractant is placed within 20 feet of the trap; or
1.12(3) the trap is elevated at least three feet above the surface of the ground."
1.13Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.14Amend the title accordingly
