1.3    "Sec. 36. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.001, subdivision 7, is amended to read:
1.4    Subd. 7. Taking with firearms in certain areas. (a) A person may not take a wild
1.5animal with a firearm within 500 feet of a building occupied by a human or livestock
1.6without the written permission of the owner, occupant, or lessee:
1.7(1) on another person's private land, if the land is not a licensed shooting preserve; or
1.8(2) on a public right-of-way.
1.9(b) A No person may not take a wild animal with shoot a firearm without the
1.10permission of the owner, occupant, or lessee, within 500 feet of a stockade or corral
1.11containing livestock. For the purposes of this paragraph, a "stockade or corral" means
1.12a fenced enclosure for containing livestock that does not enclose an area greater than
1.13one acre.
1.14(c) A person may not take a wild animal on any land where the person is prohibited
1.15from entering by this section."
