1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. SELF-ADVOCACY NETWORK FOR PERSONS WITH
1.4DISABILITIES; APPROPRIATION.
1.5(a) $95,000 is from the general fund in fiscal year 2013 to the commissioner of
1.6health and human services to establish and maintain a statewide self-advocacy network for
1.7persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
1.8(b) The self-advocacy network must focus on ensuring that persons with disabilities
1.9are:
1.10(1) informed of and educated about their legal rights in the areas of education,
1.11employment, housing, transportation, and voting; and
1.12(2) educated and trained to self-advocate for their rights under law.
1.13(c) Self-advocacy network activities under this section include but are not limited to:
1.14(1) education and training, including preemployment and workplace skills;
1.15(2) establishment and maintenance of a communication and information exchange
1.16system for self-advocacy groups; and
1.17(3) financial and technical assistance to self-advocacy groups."
1.18Amend the title accordingly
