1.3    "Sec. 3. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 18.87, is amended to read:
1.418.87 PENALTY.
1.5(a) A violation of section 18.86 or a rule adopted under that section is a misdemeanor.
1.6Inspectors, county-designated employees, or their appointed assistants are not subject to
1.7the penalties of this section for failure, neglect, or refusal to perform duties imposed on
1.8them by sections 18.76 to 18.91.
1.9(b) A county may collect from a public land owner a civil penalty of up to $1,000 for
1.10each violation of section 18.86 or a rule adopted under that section. The public land owner
1.11must pay the penalty from funds provided for maintenance of the land or from the general
1.12revenue or operating fund of the agency responsible for the land."
1.13Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.14Amend the title accordingly
