1.3Page 2, delete lines 17 to 32 and insert:
1.4"(b) In the absence of an evidence-based standard established for a specific
1.5hospital care unit as provided in paragraph (a), the Department of Health shall review
1.6evidence-based research and develop a standard for those units. In doing so, the
1.7Department of Health shall consult with the following organizations:
1.8(1) the Minnesota Hospital Association;
1.9(2) the Minnesota Nurses Association;
1.10(3) the Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse Association; and
1.11(4) the Minnesota Medical Association.
1.12Costs incurred by the state under this paragraph shall be funded with hospital licensing
1.13fees."
