1.3Page 8, delete lines 4 to 7 and insert:
1.4"(b) The Metropolitan Council may disseminate data on user and customer
1.5transaction history and fare card use to government entities, organizations, school districts,
1.6educational institutions, and employers that subsidize or provide fare cards to their clients,
1.7students, or employees. "Data on user and customer transaction history and fare card
1.8use" includes only:
1.9(1) the date a fare card was used;
1.10(2) the time a fare card was used;
1.11(3) the mode of travel;
1.12(4) the type of fare product used; and
1.13(5) information about the date, time, and type of fare product purchased.
1.14Government entities, organizations, school districts, educational institutions, and
1.15employers may use customer transaction history and fare card use data only for
1.16the purposes of measuring and promoting fare card use and for evaluating the cost
1.17effectiveness of their fare card programs. If a user or customer requests in writing that
1.18the council limit the disclosure of transaction history and fare card use, the council may
1.19disclose only the card balance and the date a card was last used."
