1.3Page 386, after line 19, insert:

1.4    "Sec. .... Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 144.0724, subdivision 6, is amended to read:
1.5    Subd. 6. Penalties for late or nonsubmission. A facility that fails to complete or
1.6submit an assessment for a RUG-III or RUG-IV classification within seven days of the
1.7time requirements in subdivisions 4 and 5 is subject to a reduced rate for that resident.
1.8The reduced rate shall be the lowest rate for that facility. The reduced rate is effective on
1.9the day of admission for new admission assessments or on the day that the assessment
1.10was due for all other assessments and continues in effect until the first day of the month
1.11following the date of submission of the resident's assessment. At the discretion of the
1.12commissioner in cases where late submissions involve more than five residents in 14
1.13calendar days, the penalty rate will be limited to 15 days for each resident."
