Chair Huntley called the eighth meeting to order at 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Murphy, E., moved adoption of the January 30 minutes. The motion prevailed.
HF 55 (Sviggum)
Representative Erickson moved the bill before the committee, as well as Amendment
H0055A1. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.
Representative Steve Sviggum and the following people testified in favor of the bill and responded to questions of the committee members:

The Chair moved HF 55, as amended, be laid on the table for possible inclusion in the final omnibus bill.
At 1:23 p.m., Loren Colman, DHS Assistant Commissioner, resumed and concluded his testimony of January 30. He also responded to questions of the committee members.
At 1:57 p.m. the Chair announced postponing scheduled testimony of Christine Bronson and Tim Wilkin, Deputy and Assistant DHS Commissioners, respectively, to a time uncertain.
The meeting adjourned at 1:58 p.m.
