MINUTES
Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:32 p.m., on March 2, 2011, in the basement hearing room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Stensrud moved HF0664 and recommended that it be passed and referred to the General Register.
Representative Hackbarth introduced HF0664.
Todd Liljenquist from MN Housing Association testified.
Representative Stensrud renewed his motion that HF0664 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.
Representative Daudt moved to approve the minutes for March 1, 2011. The motion prevailed.
Representative Diane Anderson moved HF0072 and recommended that it be passed and referred to the General Register.
Representative Beard introduced HF0072.
Dr. Michael Jones from Lignite Energy Council testified.
Representative Hoppe handed the gavel to Representative Sanders at 2:50.
Representative Sanders returned the gavel to Representative Hoppe at 2:51.
Eric Olson, Vice President of Great River Energy testified.
Bill Grant and Kate O’Connell from the MN Department of Commerce testified.
Barbara Freese from Union of Concerned Scientists testified.
Representative Atkins moved amendment
H0072A5. The motion did not prevail. The amendment was not adopted.

HF72 was laid over for action for the Commerce Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:06.
