HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE

MINUTES

Representative Abeler, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:36 P.M. on February 23, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Abeler officially called the meeting to order at 12:39 P.M.

A quorum was present.

HF8 (Gottwalt) Healthy Minnesota contribution program established, and plan required to redesign service delivery for lower-income MinnesotaCare.

Representative Gottwalt moved that HF8 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Gottwalt moved the H0008DE3 delete all amendment.

Representative Gottwalt moved to incorporate the H0008DE3 delete all amendment.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gottwalt, John Tyler, Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters, Dave Racer, Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters, Lisa Bodine, Manager, Health & Transportation Policy, MN Chamber of Commerce, and Sue Abderholden, Executive Director, NAMI Minnesota, testified on HF8.
Representative Schomacker moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 22, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Gottwalt renewed his motion that HF8, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:27 P.M.
