MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Tax Committee, began the meeting at 10:15 A.M. on March 11th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids began the meeting at 10:15. A quorum was NOT present.

A quorum was present at 10:23 and the meeting was called to order.

Representative Davnie moved to approve the minutes from March 10th, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Davids moved that HF268 come before the committee.

HF268 Davids: Medical device payment tax credit provided.

Representative Davids moved that the H0268A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Davids and Shaye Mandle of LifeScience Alley, testified on HF268, first engrossment.

Representative Davids moved that HF268, as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Lenczewski moved that HF1301 come before the committee.

HF1301 Bernardy: Child care dependent care credit modified.

Representative Bernardy, Christeen Gotsch, Tracy Fischman of Prepare + Prosper, and Paul Cumings of the Minnesota Department of Revenue, testified on HF1301, first engrossment.

Representative Lenczewski moved that HF1301 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Knoblach moved that HF798 come back before the committee.

HF798 Knoblach: K-12 education expense subtraction and credit modified; credit expanded to tuition; subtraction and credit amounts increased; income phaseout for the credit increase; and credit, subtraction amount, and credit phaseout threshold adjusted.

Representative Knoblach testified on HF798, first engrossment.

Representative Knoblach moved that HF798 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.
