MINUTES
Representative Tim O’Driscoll, Chair of the Government Operation and Election Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 10:16 AM on February 27, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nelson moved to approve the minutes of May 12th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Nelson moved to approve the minutes of September 25th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF329 (Rarick) Fireworks manufacture, sale, and use regulated.
Representative O’Driscoll moved HF329 to the General Register.
Representative O’Driscoll moved the H0329A9 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion that HF329, as amended, be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1393 (Fenton) State primary date changed from August to June, and date of primary elections conducted by a political subdivision changed.
Representative Fenton moved HF1393 to the General Register.
Representative Fenton moved the H1393A6 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Fenton presented HF1393.
Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion that HF1393, as amended, be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1689 (Ecklund) City and town expenditures for historical societies permitted.

HF2636 (Erickson) Towns authorized to appropriate funds to community food shelves.
Representative O’Driscoll moved HF2636 before the committee.

Representative O’Driscoll laid the bill over for further consideration and testimony.
HF1975 (Vogel) Water tank service contract bidding exception narrowed.
Representative O’Driscoll moved HF1975 to the General Register.
Representative Vogel presented H1975DE1.
Representative O’Driscoll moved the H1975DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
