HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Housing Finance and Policy Division, called the fifth meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 20th, in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:00 A.M.

Jennifer Leimaile Ho, Commissioner of Minnesota Housing, and Ryan Baumtrog, Assistant Commissioner of Minnesota Housing, presented the Governor’s Budget for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.

HF 495 (Noor) – Amending requirements for residential leases.

Chair Hausman moved to re-refer HF 495 to the Committee on Judiciary and Civil Law.

Chair Hausman moved to adopt the A2 Author’s Amendment.

Representative Munson discussed the HF 495 A19 amendment in conjunction with the A2 author’s amendment.

Chair Hausman renewed the motion to approve the A2 author’s amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Munson called for division.
There BEING 6 ayes, and 7 nays, THE MOTIONAL FAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Chair Hausman laid over HF 495 for future consideration.

HF 282 (Noor) – Modifying provisions related to manufactured and modular homes.
Chair Hausman moved that HF 282 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

David Anderson, All Parks Alliance for Change

Chair Hausman moved to adopt the HF 282 A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hausman renewed the motion that HF282, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 9:40 A.M.
