MINUTES

Representative Joe Schomacker, Chair of the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20AM on March 5, 2025, in Room 123 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Norris moved the minutes of March 4, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Commissioner Tikki Brown and Chief Financial Officer Ashley Reisenauer provided an Agency Overview of the Department of Children Youth and Families.

HF1346 (Nash) – Training requirements modified for mandatory reporters.

Chair Schomacker moved that HF 1346 be referred to the General Register.

Testifiers:

Melissa DiBilzen, Executive Director, Safe Passage for Children of Minnesota

Chair Schomacker renewed his motion that HF 1346 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1215 (Clardy) – Licensing violation actions against chapter 245D providers modified, and reports required.

Chair Schomacker moved HF1215 before the committee.

Chair Schomacker moved the DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
