Legislative Assistant - Republican Caucus


Full-time Legislative Assistant position in the Republican Caucus of the Minnesota House of Representatives providing a variety of office duties for assigned Republican members.

Need excellent scheduling, organizational skills and writing ability. PC experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook necessary. Frequent public contact: Strong customer service, good communication and attention to detail skills are a must. Understanding of state government and the legislative process helpful. Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours during session. BA/BS required.

Familiarity with Zoom/Teams/virtual meeting options a plus.

This is a full-time, at-will position that works in person with the possibility of some interim remote work consistent with House policies and Department needs. The House offers a competitive salary and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Starting classification and annual salary commensurate with relevant experience. Legislative Assistant I - IV range $48,034.80 - $118,249.44. The starting salary range for an entry-level Legislative Assistant I is generally between $48,034.80 and $52,838.40, depending on relevant experience.
