St. Paul, MN - In honor of his 36 years of legislative service, and ahead of his upcoming retirement, State Representative Gene Pelowski (DFL – Winona) was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Minnesota County Recorder’s Association.
The certificate was given in appreciation of Rep. Pelowski’s tireless efforts in the advancement of Electronic Document Recording, and for ensuring that County Recorders have the funds necessary to use state of the art technology.
“Minnesota’s County Recorders are integral to ensuring our local governments run smoothly, and it has been an honor to work on behalf of their profession at the legislature,” said Rep. Pelowski. “I sincerely thank them, not just for this recognition, but for their own service to our communities.
County Recorders are responsible for the evaluation, recording, protection and preservation of all real estate documents in accordance with State Statutes. Some of the most commonly recorded documents include Deeds, Mortgages, Assignments, Satisfactions, Easements, Liens and Plats.
