Representative Cal Warwas Stands Firm on Keeping the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth
Saint Paul, MN – Representative Cal Warwas is fighting to keep the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth, the heart of Minnesota’s Iron Range and a region deeply rooted in hockey history. Rep. Warwas, author of HF 2294, is committed to ensuring the Hall of Fame remains in its rightful home rather than being relocated to St. Paul.
“For generations, Eveleth has been known as the hockey capital of the United States, right here in the heart of the Iron Range. The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum is a key part of that legacy,” said Warwas. “Moving it to St. Paul would strip an important piece of history from the region that helped shape Minnesota’s hockey tradition.”
Warwas is hopeful to work in a bipartisan manner to preserve the Hall’s current location, recognizing its significance not just for Eveleth, but for the entire state. “This isn’t about politics, it’s about honoring our heritage and keeping hockey history where it belongs.”
HF 2294 aims to support and invest in the Hall of Fame’s future in Eveleth, ensuring it remains a proud landmark for hockey fans across the country.
