ST. PAUL—Today, Minnesota House Republicans released a second transportation plan. Representative Frank Hornstein (DFL-Minneapolis) released the following statement:
“The only thing the Republican transportation plan is dedicated to is shifts and gimmicks. They insist on shifting money, looting the general fund, and taking money that could be used for education and kids to pay for our transportation system.
Smoke and mirrors budgeting will not solve our transportation funding crisis. Instead, we need a solution that makes long-term, dependable investments in our transportation system without racking up new debt or threatening our kids’ future.”
