Local nursing home receives $313,326 in new state funding
Brooklyn Park, MN – State Representative Michael V. Nelson (DFL-Brooklyn Park) announced that on Aug. 1, a local nursing home received a significant amount of new state funding as part of a bipartisan agreement to stabilize a sector of the economy that is facing financial hardship.
“Over the past several years, nursing homes have been hit incredibly hard, and we’ve seen the effects right in our backyard,” said Rep. Nelson. “Under DFL leadership, the Legislature appropriated record amounts of funding for our state’s nursing homes, and I'm incredibly proud to have brought some of that money back home to our community and the good folks at the Villas at Osseo.”
Of these initial investments, $313,326 has been delivered to the Villas at Osseo in District 38A on Aug. 1. The facility will receive another significant one-time payment of the same amount on Aug. 1, 2024, totaling over $600,000 for the biennium.
