SAINT PAUL, MN—Representative Pat Garofalo, R-Farmington, issued the following statement after Governor Dayton's comments at FarmFest indicating support for repeal of the farm equipment repair tax in the upcoming special session, tentatively scheduled for September 9th.
"Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Governor Dayton and Democrat leaders have finally fessed up, admitted that these taxes are bad for Minnesota families, and were a mistake to begin with.
"We shouldn't stop there -- I urge Governor Dayton and legislative Democrats to correct some of the other mistakes from this session and repeal the warehousing tax, the forced unionization of childcare providers, and the $90 million dollar Taj-Mah Senate building.
"In addition to critical flood relief, it's time to relieve Minnesotans from the damage Democrats have done to our state this past session."
