I hope you are enjoying summer with family and friends, and you are staying cool during this lengthy heatwave. Lawmakers recently enacted a new two-year state budget focused on helping Minnesotans recover and positioning our state to be better prepared in the future. COVID-19 created a crisis unlike anything Minnesotans have ever experienced, and the budget delivers the investments students, workers, families, and small businesses are counting on to have a brighter future. The budget also strengthens Minnesotans’ health and wellbeing, including robust investments in local public health and solutions to reduce health disparities.
To discuss details of the budget, and to answer questions from community members, Rep. Liz Boldon – my Rochester colleague in the House – will join me for a Virtual Town Hall meeting next Wednesday, August 4 at 6pm. We will meet on Zoom (meeting ID: 936 4545 7476; passcode: 468850).
