SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today the Minnesota House of Representatives passed HF 4310, legislation authored by Representative Leon Lillie (DFL—North St. Paul) to ratify compensation plans for certain state employees. The bill passed on a bipartisan vote of 74-56.
“Our state employees work hard every day to move Minnesota forward and they deserve to be fairly compensated so they can achieve economic security for their families,” said Rep. Lillie. “By ratifying these contracts, DFLers are supporting workers and ensuring Minnesota families are not left behind.”
HF 4310 contains five compensation plans from the Minnesota Department of Management and Budget and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. The plans include across-the-board salary increases for non-union staff that apply retroactively to July 1, 2023.
The plans were submitted to the bipartisan Subcommittee on Employee Relations, of which Rep. Lillie is Vice-Chair, and were approved by that subcommittee on December 19, 2023.
