Dear neighbor,
Minnesota state legislators gathered at the Capitol this week for the start of the 2015 Legislative Session. The eighty-ninth sessions of the legislature includes 26 new members of the Minnesota House of Representatives who were sworn into office along while I was sworn in for my sixth term.
It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to serve as the representative for Oakdale, North St. Paul, and Maplewood again. I am so proud Minnesota now has fully funded all-day kindergarten, took meaningful steps to strengthen middle-class families by passing a minimum wage increase, and provided more protections to strengthen the economic security of women and families. But now we have to look forward and I am excited to get back to work for Minnesota.
In late December, Speaker Kurt Daudt appointed me to four committees. I will serve as the DFL-lead on the committee for Aging and Long-Term Care Policy, as well as serving on Capital Investment, Commerce and Regulatory Reform, and Legacy Funding Finance.

Sincerely,
Leon Lillie
State Representative, District 43B
