SAINT PAUL, MN – The third week of session has concluded and House Republicans continue to refuse to fix MNLARS.
Rep. Rick Hansen issued the following statement:
“Over two weeks ago, I offered a solution that would keep IT professionals hard at work fixing MNLARS. House Republicans blocked our efforts to take up this fix. Since then, 39 IT contractors working on MNLARS received notices of their impending termination. Now, these highly sought after workers are seeking new jobs and at least one top project developer has resigned.
“Continuous stalling, blaming and pontificating instead of problem-solving continues to make the problem worse and will add months until we have a fully functioning system for Minnesotans
“There is a cost to the House Republican inaction.
“Republican’ now own the MNLARS problem. It’s on them and only them.”
