SAINT PAUL, MN – Today, the Minnesota House declared an urgency and passed emergency legislation to fund ongoing fixes for Minnesota’s Licensing and Registration System (MNLARS).
Rep. Rick Hansen (DFL-South Saint Paul) issued the following statement:
“It’s about time we finally voted to fix this problem. We’ve known for months that we needed to act, yet Republicans were content to simply point fingers at Governor Dayton and stand idly by as people were getting layoff notices. It shouldn’t have taken months to do the right thing. Republicans focused on their own pride and process rather than problem solving for people. Minnesotans deserve a licensing system that works and they expect us to fix it when it doesn’t.”
