SAINT PAUL, MN – With just 11 days remaining in the 2018 legislative session, Rep. Rick Hansen (DFL-South Saint Paul) released this statement:
“Temporary emergency funding for MNLARS was passed over a month ago. At that time everyone knew it was not a long-term solution. As the days are winding down on the session, the Republicans in control of the legislature need to fund MNLARS and keep program development on track. The Senate has included $13.2 million for continued improvements, while the Republican House has nothing. The vehicle title backlog is creeping back up daily, frustrating our deputy registrars and auto dealers and inconveniencing Minnesotans.
Minnesotans expect us to get the job done and not wait for another emergency to happen.”
