Dear neighbors,
I was proud to stand with Governor Tim Walz as he signed his first two bills into law yesterday morning. My proposal for continued development and improvement of the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System (HF 861) was the first bill signed into law this session.
Minnesotans deserve a licensing system that works. There’s been a lot of finger pointing about remaining issues with MNLARS, but what’s important is fixing these problems and ensuring quality in the future. This first step is proof that we can get things done when we work together. I’m confident that we’ll continue to find solutions for issues facing Minnesotans this session.
Constituents at the Capitol
Lily Klein, a junior at Henry Sibley High School, was in St. Paul this week to participate in the House High School Page Program. The page program gives students the opportunity to spend a week at the Capitol and hands-on access to state government. The program is open to all Minnesota juniors. Next year’s juniors can learn more and apply here.
Today was Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing Day at the Capitol. It was great to talk with Herman Fuechtmann, a resident of South St. Paul. Information on the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing is available here.
