Applications Open for DNR Internships
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is now accepting applications for a broad range of paid internships. Interested college students can learn more about the available positions and apply here. Applications will be accepted from January 2 – 31.
National Deer Alliance Supports Emergency Rule
In my last legislative update, I talked about the emergency rule that the DNR put in place after a captive deer in Western Minnesota tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD). The 30-day rule prohibits moving farmed white-tailed deer. Today, the National Deer Alliance shared their support for this measure.
Upcoming LCCMR Meeting
On Thursday, January 16, the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) will be holding our first meeting of the new year. Starting at 9am, you can tune in live to hear the other members and I review proposals for 2020. Members of the public are invited to share their thoughts as well.
