Dear neighbors,
It’s been a busy week at the Minnesota State Capitol. I wanted to update you on a few things.
On Monday, Reverend Oliver White of Clark-Grace United Church of Christ in South St. Paul was the guest chaplain for the Minnesota House of Representatives.
New OLA Report on Prison Safety
Today, the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) released a report on safety in state correctional facilities. The full report can be found here. The House Corrections and Public Safety Committees held a joint hearing on the report this afternoon.
Affordable Insulin and Voter Privacy
Tonight, I’ll be voting on a bill to ensure Minnesotans have access to affordable insulin and another bill to protect Minnesotans’ privacy in the upcoming presidential primary. The non-partisan House Research summary for the insulin bill can be found here, and the summary for the voter privacy bill can be found here.
