I hope you and your loved ones have a very happy Thanksgiving! Even though there is a lot of strife in the world, there is still a lot to be grateful for, including our fantastic community. Safe travels and be sure to eat lots of delicious food!
Committee Chair Assignments
Last week the Speaker announced committee chair assignments and I will be returning as the chair of the Environment and Natural Resources committee. I’m very grateful that Speaker Hortman has entrusted me with this critical committee once again. Minnesotans value our environment a great deal and I will run the committee knowing that these issues are a top priority for our state. With the DFL trifecta we have an opportunity to enact long lasting protections to ensure future generations can enjoy the same environmental benefits we do.
Community Highlights
As we enter the holiday season here are some events and ideas to keep in mind:
- The DNR is once again offering lifetime hunting and fishing licenses. This is a great way to support the DNR while giving a great gift for the hunters and anglers in your life. Be sure to sign up early, you can check out this and other DNR gift ideas here.
- The annual South Saint Paul tree lighting ceremony is this Sunday November 27th at 5:30pm at the Central Square Community Center. Be sure to attend for singing, hot cocoa, and more!
