Met Council Incinerator Community Meeting
I have been monitoring the Metropolitan Council’s proposed fourth incinerator at the metro wastewater treatment plant and would like to let you know of an upcoming public comment period and open house.
Public comment on the project will be open until August 25, 2023, and you can find more information here. and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will also be hosting an open house for the community to learn more about the project, air permit, and environmental review on August 14 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Dayton’s Bluff Recreation Center.
CSG Conference
This week I have been attending meetings at the Council of State Governments Midwestern Legislative Conference. As a member of the Energy and Environment Committee, I was glad to meet with our partners from other states and share Minnesota’s recent successes. I also attended presentations about Higher Education, Sportsmen’s Issues, the Midwest-Canada Relations Committee, and more!
