Dear Neighbor,
Just a quick orange-cone alert for motorists to be aware of as detours and delays on Highway 238 in Albany start 5 a.m. Monday.
The stretch of Highway 238 between Railroad Avenue and the southeast side of North Lake will close and travelers will be re-routed on a short detour along County Road 53/Sixth Street and Soo Line Avenue.
The shutdown will allow for reconstruction of approximately one-half mile of Highway 238, including installation of new underground utilities and improvements to pedestrian infrastructure. It is expected all lanes of Highway 238 will be re-opened in mid-September, with a smoother ride and improved drainage and accessibility in that area.
Sincerely,
Paul
