ST. PAUL – Sen. Torrey Westrom, R-Elbow Lake, and Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, will host three town hall meetings in District 12B on Aug. 20.
The public meetings will take place in Garfield, Starbuck and Sauk Centre. The legislators said the events will serve as opportunities for area residents and legislators to discuss facets of the recently completed state budget and other issues at the Capitol this year, in addition to previewing what is in store for the remainder of the coming months and the 2022 session.
“There certainly is a wide variety of subjects for us to discuss and this is a good chance for people to express their thoughts on the state of affairs in Minnesota,” Anderson said. “I always appreciate direct input from the people we represent and these town hall meetings will be helpful in that regard.”
“An elected official must always be in touch with their constituents,” Westrom said. “Throughout the years I have always prided myself on having a constant dialogue with the people I am privileged to serve. I look forward to discussing the important issues facing our area and listening to your concerns at our town hall events.”
