ST. PAUL – State Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, returned to the Capitol on Tuesday to perform the oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives as a member of the 94th Legislature.
Anderson was re-elected to the House in November. He serves District 12A, stretching from Ortonville and Beardsley in the state’s western elbow to St. Rosa and Freeport in the east.
Anderson recently gained an appointment to serve as chair of the House Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee. He also will serve on committees related to energy and state government this biennium.
“As always, our state faces a number of significant challenges and it’s nice to get back to St. Paul so we can get busy working on all the issues we’ve been talking about the last several months,” Anderson said. “Personally, I look forward to serving as ag. chair since it’s a subject I am passionate about that is very important to people in our district. I’m honored to continue representing the people of District 12A and happy to be back at work at the Capitol.”
Anderson said House Republicans recently shared a list of priorities for the 2025 legislative session. They include:
Anderson said he welcomes correspondence throughout the session and encourages District 12A residents to call (651) 296-4317 or email rep.paul.anderson@house.mn.gov to get in touch. He also invites people to follow him at www.facebook.com/RepPaulAnderson/ for legislative updates and notes.
